Every Man Jack was founded by San Francisco native Ritch Viola who, at age 37, had just come off successful gigs at consumer powerhouse Clorox, and
category changer Method. You know Method, the nifty looking, earth-friendly hand soap dispenser located next to the faucet on your kitchen sink?

Brilliant product., elegant design at a reasonable price. The stuff  flies off the shelves at Target.

Editor's Note:
Never heard of Method? Ask your wife, she knows.

Luckily for us, Mr. Viola took that recipe for success and aimed his sights on the Men's Skin Care market. The fruits of his labor is Every Man Jack, a high-design, value conscious product line targeted to, as its label states, "Every Man."

Editor's Note:
No pun intended, but Every Man Jack's complete line of Skin Care products targeted toward men are only available at Target. You can also find them online at www.everymanjack.com

A reliable source tells ShaveReview, "This stuff is flyin' off the shelves."

Let's give it a try, and find out why?

Price.  Wow!
At $5 for ANY product in the Every Man Jack line,  I'd be hard pressed NOT to try  any of these products. Every Man Jack's (EMJ) Shave Gel comes in a 7 oz. can, which is the standard size for all other gels including category heavyweights Edge, and Gillette.
End of comparisons.

EMJ's subtle yet sophisticated signature scent is different, but easy to get used to especially during early morning daily use. It reminds me of shave products sold at department store counters with designer names and prices on them. A quick check of the ingredients list includes another high-end sea fennel (rich in vitamin C) glycerin for glide, and aloe for moisturizer. What's noticeably absent from the list of ingredients is Paraben, a synthetic preservative used for decades in the industry until recent EPA studies say it could be bad for us.

Editor's Note:
The word is NOT out on Parabens killing us, so don't freak out and start tossing away your paraben laden shave products just yet . It's comforting to know companies like EMJ are voluntarily discontinuing there use anyway.

Usage:
Is EMJ's Shave Gel for every man? I'm not sure, but it was definitely for me. I'm an Edge gel guy. Always have been, thought I always would be. I applied about a quarters worth of gel to the palm of my hand and rubbed it in to my wet face. As expected the gel quickly turns to a foam-like consistency. As I mentioned earlier, the scent is subtle, but grows on you quickly. Edge overpowers me. I always feel like I'm using too much product.

I had the just the opposite feeling with this product. Less is better.

As with all gels, rinse your blade early and rinse often to prevent safety razor clog.
Once the shave was complete, I rinsed with warm water and pat dried with a clean towel.
I suffer from patchy skin, so I watch my face throughout the day for any oily breakout or dryness.
None to report.

None.
However, EMJ's scent is different. If you're not immediately convinced its for you, give it some time to grow on you. Ask your wife or lover if they like it?

Bang for the buck, it's a 5 star value.
I like the scent, and the price.
I believe EMJ's Shave Gel performs better than the "others" on the Target shelf, and as good if not better than designer gels from the department store.

To Every Man Jack:
Make some more, my women dig it too. My wife threw out her can of gel and steals mine!
