Korres Absinthe Shave Creamoverview_header

Korres is a Greek based company with roots in the first homeopathic pharmacy of Athens. Founded in 1996 the company today offers a complete skin and hair care range, sun care products and herbal preparations.

I originally found Korres' products in their retail store in London. Their products and store are works of art. It's a must see if you're ever in London and find yourself with someone who wants to go to Harods or Sloane Square. Lose them, and go to Korres!

Korres natural products are based on 4 fundamental principles:

-Naturally derived top quality active ingredients

-Clinically tested effectiveness with no inflated promises

-Aesthetically pleasing

-Reasonably priced to enable every-day use

Although the product does contain Absinthe, it's not the French variety or liquor popularized by such famous artists as van Gogh, Manet, or Lautrec.

Korres’ luscious Absinthe Shave Cream helps the razor glide and ensures a deep and comfortable shave.  Its brushless, non-foaming formula is mild with a pleasant scent. At the root is Absinthe extract, rich in essential oils and flavonoids, Protects from irritation and soothes the skin.

Great product, great packaging.  Very cool, sleek, and unique. It’s in a clear plastic container so you can see the product, but it has some sort of plastic vacuum baggy inside. As you use or dispense the product with a push, that little baggy vacuum thingy sucks product out without any air. I called Korres on this… Their claim is it keeps the product fresh no matter how long you have it.  My experience is consistent; I’ve had it for nearly a year without any waist or spoilage. Plus its earth-friendly; Recyclable packaging with natural ingredients. Don’t you wish more manufacturers would adhere to these simple principles?

Editor's Note: Packaging changed, and the clear vacuum pack is gone. Don't fret, it's still the same great product. This product is  a brushless, latherless cream. If you're a badger brush shaver, stay away, you'll only be disappointed.

Usage: As with most latherless creams a little goes a long way.  PH balance is low so it's easy on your face. Glycerin is added for glide, aloe for soothe and healing, and absinthe for anti-inflamatory(razor burn) properties.

If you happen to live in or visit London, you’ve got to seek and find the Korres retail store.  They happen to have one of the finest retail stores I have ever been in for health and beauty for men.  Its a sensory treat for your mind and body. It’s very close to the Knightsbridge tube stop in Chelsea.  Go there. Bring your girlfriend or lover they’ll worship you for it. Fabulous!

A luscious cream that helps the razor glide and ensures a deep and comfortable shave. As a brushless, non-foaming preparation, Absinthe shave cream is formulated at a milder pH than lathering creams, thus preventing skin roughness. Absinthe extract, rich in essential oils and flavonoids, protects from irritations and soothes the skin.
